LIVERPOOL, UK – Today Toronto Wolfpack held a press conference to announce the signing of former New Zealand and Tonga International Prop, Fuifui Moimoi to their growing world-class roster of players for the 2017 RFL season.
Fuifui Moimoi Joins The Pack
Moimoi, a celebrated and much respected Prop, has represented New Zealand and Tonga on the international stage. He spent 14 years of his professional career at Paramatta Eels of the NRL before moving to the Leigh Centurions in 2015 for the last two seasons.
Known by his cult-like following of fans as the “Steam Train,” Fuifui is a welcome addition to the Wolfpack, who are certain his well known attacking surges and massive defensive hits will add a further dimension to the club’s already signed talent pool.
Head Coach Paul Rowley stated, “It’s a magnificent coup for the Wolfpack to acquire Fui’s services. He’s an iconic brand and will add an additional physical presence to an already impressive lineup. His wealth of international and club experience will be a great benefit both on and off the pitch. I also think that our club fans especially those based in Toronto and North America will love his free flowing and aggressive style of play, as we all know, he has left dents all over Australia, New Zealand & the UK.”
Moimoi added, “I would like to thank everyone at the Wolfpack for this opportunity and am looking forward to being a part of the team and hitting hard for the fans.”
