(Toronto) The draw for Round 3 of the 2017 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup, has taken place in Leeds, and the 2016 National Conference Premiership champions Siddal, have been drawn to face the Toronto Wolfpack.
Siddal, considered one of the best amateur clubs in England, represent Halifax, West Yorkshire just minutes from Brighouse Rangers, where the Wolfpack are based when in England. The club has produced some incredible Super League stand-out players like; Luke Robinson, Liam Finn, Niall Evalds, and Scott Grix among others.
Wolfpack assistant coach Simon Finnigan had this to say upon learning Toronto would play Siddal; “It’s a very exciting draw for the Wolfpack to go up against one of the top Amateur clubs in the U.K.”
Toronto will be playing their first ever competitive fixture and coach Finnigan is under no illusions on what to expect against the NCL champs. “Siddal will be full of confidence on their home pitch, it should be a tough match, and there should be a great crowd to see our first official match.”
