(May 1st 2017 – Toronto, ON) — The Toronto Wolfpack is pleased to announce a partnership with TekSavvy, an independent Internet and phone provider based in Chatham, Ontario.
TekSavvy is well-known in Canada as an underdog that fights for more telecom competition and provides great customer service at great prices while doing so. It was because of this underdog identity that the Wolfpack saw a natural fit with TekSavvy. As Toronto’s newest pro sports team, the Wolfpack has a strong focus on fighting to stay accessible to fans as the “people’s team” and is an underdog in the North American sports market as the first and only pro Rugby team of either code in North America.
TekSavvy will be the title sponsor for the Wolfpack’s inaugural home game on May 6th, 2017, which is now the ‘TekSavvy Home
Opener’. Going forward, the Wolfpack will announce after each match a ‘TekSavvy Difference Maker’ – the player who worked the hardest each game.
As part of its partnership, TekSavvy will also fund Wolfpack home game tickets for volunteers and employees at local charities, starting with the ‘TekSavvy Home Opener’.
“TekSavvy is excited to be the Official Telecom Sponsor for the Toronto Wolfpack” said Marc Gaudrault, CEO of TekSavvy. “We’re known for being ‘different, in a good way’. By starting at the bottom and working their way up through the leagues, the Wolfpack definitely embodies this. We’ve always had a great customer connection with Toronto, so we’re looking forward to cheering along with them for this winning team, for years to come.”
“It’s great to team up with such an innovative business like TekSavvy. They are the perfect partner for our team, as we both share a common vision of working the hardest to get what we do right, and doing it in a manner that’s genuinely open and honest,” said Toronto Wolfpack CEO Eric Perez.
TekSavvy prides itself on fighting for a fair playing field that delivers the best results to consumers, and works hard to be at the forefront of protecting Canadian consumers’ rights online. Founded in 1998, TekSavvy is an independent telecom provider that employs more than 500 Canadians in Chatham, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec, and provides service to more than 250,000 Canadian homes alongside growing business and wholesale offerings.
“We’re Different. In a Good Way.”
