After the overwhelming response to our “Leader of the Pack” competition, and in the spirit of the holiday season, we are delighted to extend the deadline for entries until midnight on Wednesday 20th December.
Known for its high quality premium pet food and commitment to sustainability, Petcurean creates food for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes. The partnership between Toronto Wolfpack and Petcurean includes Petcurean providing prizes for the short-listed entrants in the competition, as well as a wide range of initiatives that will be of interest to fans throughout the season.
“We are thrilled to team up with the Toronto Wolfpack to support the Team’s Leader of the Pack initiative to find a canine mascot” says Walter Cosman, General Manager at Petcurean. “The health and nutrition focus of professional athletes really resonates with Petcurean. Our company is dedicated to creating high-quality recipes using premium ingredients that not only taste great, but also help dogs thrive. This results in peak performance throughout your dog’s life.”
The ‘Leader of the Pack’ competition is a search to find the Toronto Wolfpack an official canine ambassador for the 2018 season. Supporters can enter online via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram by posting a photograph of their dog, along with a brief description of why their dog should be chosen. The initial phase of the competition closes onWednesday 20th December with a shortlist of 5 dogs announced as ‘the Pack’ on Christmas Day.
Throughout January voting will be open across social media channels to select an overall ‘Leader of the Pack’. The prestigious title will be given to the dog from the shortlist of 5 with the most votes. All 5 finalists will attend a launch event in April with the ‘Leader of the Pack’ then attending a range of events throughout the season to mix with the players, coaching staff and supporters.
Petcurean will be providing prizes for the Leader of the Pack and all shortlisted entrants. The Leader of the Pack will receive a year’s worth of Petcurean food, including a Petcurean gift basket giveaway – which features an antique-style wood suitcase, picnic blanket, thermos, pet first aid kit, silicon collapsible bowl, can lid, stainless steel kibble scoop, poop bags and tote bag. Each of the four short-listed entrants will receive the Petcurean gift basket and a voucher for a 25 lb bag of Petcurean food.
Wolfpack Marketing, Sponsorship and Communications Manager Jon Pallett says, “Petcurean is a premium brand and the perfect partner for our ‘Leader of the Pack’, as well as a welcome addition to the Wolfpack’s sponsorship line-up. We are looking forward to working with Petcurean to maximize the potential of our initial competition stage and subsequent exposure for our winners.”
Pallett adds, “We know we have a large number of dog owners among our supporter base who will be very excited at this partnership. We are excited to work with Petcurean this season and look forward to pet health and nutrition tips for our fans, possible contests and potential Game Day activations.”
