The Toronto Wolfpack are delighted to announce a first player sponsorship for 2018, linking up the Wolfpack’s Greg Worthington with True North Climbing. The Downsview Park climbing facility has taken advantage of the exciting new initiative for 2018 which allows businesses the opportunity to sponsor individual Wolfpack Players.
John Gross, Owner of True North Climbing, commented:
“We wanted to support the Wolfpack to help spread the word about Toronto’s newest professional sport. We chose Greg Worthington as the player to sponsor because he embodies our shared values of hard work and good sportsmanship.”
Worthington is a dynamic center who was an integral part of the 2017 Kingstone Press League 1 winning squad. He appeared 14 times scoring 12 tries in the process.
True North Climbing is a 12,000 square foot venue open every day of the year, located a short walk from Downsview Park Subway Station. True North offers instruction and programs for both children and adults including Birthday Parties, Day Camps and Youth Recreational programs.
Toronto Wolfpack UK Business Development Manager Martin Vickers said:
“True North Climbing is the first of many companies who will benefit from our player sponsorships for 2018. They have a fantastic facility and one we know Greg will enjoy teaming up with.”
Toronto Wolfpack player sponsorships allow companies to associate their brand with North America’s only professional rugby team, as well as leveraging credibility and exposure that comes with partnering up with top-level professional athletes. Sponsorships also incorporate valuable exposure to a rapidly growing and passionate Toronto Wolfpack fan base, both at games and across digital platforms.
