Toronto Wolfpack are taking part in warm weather training in Portugal this week. All 10 of the Wolfpack’s new signings have now joined the squad and made the trip. The 5-day camp at the Colina Verde Golf and Sports Resort forms a key part of the squad’s final preparations for the new season.
The famous Algavarian resort is 11 miles from Faro, set amongst 30 acres of countryside and boasting views over the Atlantic Ocean. The resort has become a popular destination for top professional sports teams from across Europe in recent years. Rugby League sides Hull FC and Hull KR have taken advantage of the state of the art facilities as well as a host of Club and National Football teams from England, Spain, Holland and Greece.
Alongside training players will get a chance to spend some time on the fabulous Fuzeta beach as well as taking advantage of the resort’s executive style Par 3 golf course, gymnasium and spa facilities.
A number of video clips will be shared during the week from the warm weather camp. These can be viewed on the Toronto Wolfpack’s YouTube channel as well as across social media.
The Wolfpack will return to Manchester on Wednesday, and play their only pre-season match on Friday 26th January against Bradford Bulls at Odsal.
