Following a press conference in Bradford today, Toronto Wolfpack are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Bradford Bulls.
The relationship with Bradford Bulls means a number of Wolfpack players will be available for Bradford’s upcoming season in League 1. This will give the four times Super League Champions strength and depth in their push for promotion. Wolfpack Director of Rugby, Brian Noble said:
“It’s exciting to both clubs, and a rare opportunity to work with such an iconic club as the Bradford Bulls.
“We want to enjoy success where the Bulls have been, and will get back to. I see good things happening here and am confident that this will prove to be a great partnership.”
Off-field relationships will also prosper as both teams will exchange marketing, commercial knowledge and best practise methods for the good of the fans and clubs alike. Bradford Bulls co-owner Andrew Chalmers commented:
“This is not just about what’s on the field, there will be collaboration across all elements of the two clubs.”
The combined expertise from both coaching teams of Brian Noble, Paul Rowley, John Kear and Leigh Beattie will provide a considerable advantage for both clubs going forward. Kear added:
“There is an honesty and openness between myself and Brian, which will be a great help in making this partnership work.”
The cohesion of both sides will help initiate the development of Bradford’s reserve grade squad, allowing fringe and young players from both the Wolfpack and the Bulls quality game time to develop and prepare to play first team rugby.
Toronto Wolfpack and Bradford Bulls take part in the Transatlantic Challenge UK this Friday, 26th January. The pre-season game in Bradford kicks off at 7:45pm (2:45pm in Toronto).
