Toronto Wolfpack are hosting an inaugural ‘First Responders Appreciation Game’ on Saturday July 21st. The Wolfpack play host to Rochdale Hornets at Lamport Stadium (K.O. 4:30pm), as the newly crowned Betfred Championship League Leaders prepare for the post season Super 8s – The Qualifiers.
Toronto and the GTA is privileged to be home to many honorable and hardworking first responders who work countless hours to ensure the city is a safe and collaborative community. The appreciation game gives the Wolfpack the opportunity to recognize some of the hard work carried out by Firefighters, Paramedics, Police Officers and 911 Dispatchers across the GTA. Reni Maitua, Toronto Wolfpack Rugby Operations Manager, said:
“The City of Toronto has a fantastic relationship with its first responders. As visitors to this city, in the short time we have been here, we see the hard work and dedication these individuals put in day in and day out. We are happy to be able to honour them in this way and to give them an exciting game day experience.”
Toronto Wolfpack are extending the invitation to all Firefighters, Paramedics, Police Officers and 911 Dispatchers to attend the game as our valued guests. First responders in attendance will also be incorporated into the Wolfpack game day experience.
Tickets for the game are being distributed to Fire Stations, Hospitals, Police Stations and 911 Communications Centres across Toronto and the GTA, as well as communicated to staff via email.
