Hot on the heels of the Super League fixture announcement, Toronto Wolfpack have finalized the themes that will take over each home game across the season. With the renowned Beer Garden set to be in full swing and stands filled with passionate supporters taking in better than ever on and off-field entertainment, Lamport Stadium is guaranteed to be the best day out in Toronto throughout 2020.
Home Opener v Hull FC – April 18
The Wolfpack Home Opener will see Hull FC journey across the Atlantic Ocean for the first Super League fixture to ever take place on Canadian soil. The clash is guaranteed to provide a festival atmosphere amidst the famous family-friendly environment that Wolfpack games have become renowned for. It will be a celebration of Rugby League in North America and with the 2019 Home Opener breaking the stadium’s attendance record, the 2020 installment promises to be even bigger.
Family Day v Wigan Warriors – April 25 (Kids Go Free!)
Super League powerhouse Wigan Warriors are the second team to travel to Toronto in 2020, facing off against the Wolfpack for Family Day at the Den. The afternoon is designed to recognize and reward local families that make Toronto the inclusive and unique community that it is. Fans of all generations will be honored at Lamport Stadium on a day that continues the Wolfpack’s push to grow the game of Rugby League worldwide.
80’s Day v St Helens – May 2
Toronto welcome Super League reigning champions St Helens for one of the most anticipated match-ups of the season, a fixture that will be just as much fun in the stands as it is on-field. Fans will be encouraged to dress the part for a throwback party featuring plenty of live music and entertainment alongside an extensive range of prizes for those in attendance.
Renaissance Day v Castleford Tigers – June 13
Lamport Stadium will be traveling even further into the past when Castleford Tigers travel to Toronto for a good old fashioned joust.
Beach Day v Hull Kingston Rovers – June 20
Hull Kingston Rovers have timed their charge to Canada perfectly, arriving at Lamport Stadium for the Wolfpack’s annual Beach Day. As summer takes over Toronto, fans will be treated to a full afternoon of entertainment before, during and after the Super League clash. Board shorts are a must for this one as the beach comes to downtown Toronto.
Commonwealth Day v Warrington Wolves – July 4
Warrington Wolves will be in Toronto for the inaugural Commonwealth Day at the Den, an event celebrating all things British that will have everyone with ties to the United Kingdom feeling right at home. Expect traditional delicacies, local entrainment and of course a royal rumble on field during a ferocious clash between two packs of determined wolves.
First Responders Day v Salford Red Devils – July 11
The Wolfpack’s annual First Responders Day will return for its third consecutive season as Salford Red Devils make their first appearance in Toronto. One of the most important and enjoyable days on the Wolfpack calendar, this fixture shines a spotlight on the everyday superheroes in Canada and welcomes a large number of first responders from across the country to the game.
Country Day v Leeds Rhinos – August 2
Country Day returns to Lamport Stadium for its third installment as the Wolfpack take on the traveling Rhinos. In both 2018 and 2019, Wolfpack partner Kill it with Kindness successfully raised enough money to donate a Friendship Bench to a local school and they will be back looking to continue their good work in 2020 against a back-drop of line-dancing and hay bales.
Rugby Heritage Day v Huddersfield Giants – August 8
The Wolfpack’s second annual celebration of the history of Rugby League will take place on August 8 when Huddersfield Giants make their way to Lamport Stadium. Local sporting Clubs will be involved in the action all day long and fans will be encouraged to wear their local, national or international colors with pride, no matter who they support. Don’t miss this historic celebration of our great game that is sure to feature a classic on-field contest and endless entertainment in the stands.
Fan Appreciation Day v Catalans Dragons – August 29 (30% off tickets)
The penultimate regular season fixture scheduled for Lamport Stadium comes when the Wolfpack take on Catalans Dragons on August 29. This one is all about the supporters thanks to its designation as Fan Appreciation Day at the Den. There will be ticket price reductions, giveaways for lucky fans, plenty of quality entertainment and of course the storyline surround impending Playoffs should the Wolfpack have themselves in contention.
Forces and Families v Wakefield Trinity – September 5
The Wolfpack’s final regular season home fixture comes against Wakefield Trinity and will mark the return of Forces and Families Day. Over 7,000 fans came to the inaugural event in 2019 including hundreds of service members and their families. The day’s entertainment featured a military aircraft fly-over, a fantastic interactive display by the Toronto Scottish Regiment and a half-time contest featuring active military members. This is a fixture that lives dear in the hearts of the Wolfpack and one that certainly should not be missed.
All of this means will be no better place to enjoy elite sporting action while soaking up the sun in a family-friendly party atmosphere than Lamport Stadium in 2020. With the Super League coming to Canada for the first time, the year is set to be a historic one for both the Wolfpack and Toronto with plenty on the line each week.
