Bodene Thompson Re-Signs With The Wolfpack
Former NRL and Super League second-rower Bodene Thompson will continue his journey with the Wolfpack into 2020 after signing on for a second season with the expansion Club.
A veteran of almost 200 professional appearances, Thompson has played with the likes of West Tigers, the New Zealand Warriors, Leigh Centurions and Warrington Wolves in a career spanning continents, leagues and representative football.
His experience was crucial in the Wolfpack’s run towards the 2019 Championship title, with the second-rower rarely absent from the team-sheet on game day. Thompson started on the field in both the Semi-Final and Final, showing just how highly Brian McDermott rates the New Zealand born player.
Not a prolific try-scorer, Thompson scored four tries across the 2019 and saved his best for last with a crucial four-pointer on the final day of the season. His try went a long way to sealing victory for the Wolfpack and is sure to be one that he cherishes for many years to come.
At 31 years of age, Thompson still has plenty to offer the Wolfpack in the top division and he can expect his experience to be called on consistently throughout the Club’s maiden Super League campaign.
