Former NRL star Bodene Thompson was one of six big names to join the Wolfpack ahead of 2019, after cutting short his stay at Warrington Wolves after featuring prominently towards the end of last season for the Super League and Challenge Cup runners up.
The 30 year old, originally from New Zealand, made his NRL debut in 2009 for Gold Coast Titans and became a dominant forward in the competition across spells with the Titans and Wests Tigers before making the switch to his native country to play for New Zealand Warriors in 2015.
2018 saw the 100 plus NRL game veteran make the switch to the UK in the Championship with Leigh Centurions, before a capitulation of the club’s playing squad saw him become one of many players to move on.
His uncompromising hard line approach to the game earned him a deal at the Wire where he quickly became a crucial member of their squad and played on the biggest stage at Old Trafford on the final day of the 2018 season.
However, the draw of plying his trade in Canada with the ambitious Wolfpack saw the sizable backrower make the switch to Toronto, with his invaluable experience off the field, combined with the dangers he poses on the left edge, sure to make him a firm favourite with the Lamport Stadium faithful.
