Chase Stanley Re-Signs With The Wolfpack
As the dust settles from a remarkable 2019 Playoff campaign that saw him involved in the biggest on-field moments, Toronto Wolfpack’s Chase Stanley now turns his attention towards his maiden appearance in the top division Super League after signing a two-year contract extension.
Stanley scored 13 tries across 17 appearances for the Wolfpack in 2019, his second season with the transatlantic Club. With extensive experience in the top-flight Australian competition as well as at the international level with his native New Zealand, Stanley will be a valuable member of the Wolfpack squad as they take the historic step into Super League.
Taking the field on over 100 occasions in the NRL with three different Clubs, Stanley has consistently shown his ability to play a variety of positions when called upon, never hesitating to do exactly what his team needs.
Hobbled by injury during the 2018 postseason, Stanley was influential on-field in the 2019 Playoffs, registering a second half try in the Semi-Final against Toulouse that put the result beyond doubt despite a late charge from the French side.
Preparing to enter his third season with the Wolfpack, Stanley brings unique experience and a calm attitude to the Club, qualities that will be called upon each week during the 2020 Season. His ability to score tries from the smallest of opportunities while also bringing others into the game sets him up perfectly for the Wolfpack’s maiden Super League charge and fans can expect to see the New Zealand international lighting up stadiums across the UK as well as Toronto in 2020.
