Toronto Wolfpack are excited to announce a brand new initiative offering both Canadian and UK small businesses the chance to co-sponsor Wolfpack Captain Josh McCrone. During an extremely challenging time for small businesses across the world, this is a fantastic opportunity for companies to experience the exposure and association from sponsorship of the world’s first transatlantic professional sports team, for a fraction of the cost.
All co-sponsors will share unique benefits alongside seven other small businesses. Each will have a listing on the Wolfpack website and a social media message to welcome them as co-sponsors. This ensures immediate exposure ahead of the season re-starting, and presents companies an opportunity to promote themselves during this difficult time.
Each home game week all eight co-sponsors will be placed into a draw for:
- An advert slot on Toronto Wolfpack’s website homepage.
- Announcements from the in-stadium game day host (team read and scorers).
- General admission tickets.
- Wolfpack merchandise.
- VIP hospitality access (selected games).
- LED stadium signage (selected games).
- Match worn signed jersey (final game of season)
There will also be an exclusive meet and greet open to all co-sponsors with Josh McCrone, towards the end of the season.
The first small business welcomed into the Wolfpack fold as a co-sponsor of Josh McCrone is Welch and Co Solicitors. Recently joining the new initiative, Welch and Co are experts in legal services hailing from the UK with a long history in providing elite service for competitive rates.
Welch & Co are a one-stop-shop for legal services and are committed to providing first-class value at extremely competitive rates. Home to a team of approachable, experienced and robust lawyers who are all specialists in their fields, Welch and Co are on hand to meet all of your legal needs.

Martin Vickers, the Wolfpack’s UK General Manager, spoke of the amazing support the Club has been receiving from fans throughout the Super League shutdown:
“Our fans around the world have been wonderful during this difficult time, just as they always are. Despite the suspension of games, we have also had many businesses reaching out to show their support, with a series of business webinars also being launched by the club later this month.
“We are excited to launch our ‘Co-Sponsor the Captain’ initiative as we strive to continue providing value to both new and existing sponsors and partners. We are also looking forward to seeing the links we can create between Canadian and UK businesses at this time, something that we have promoted and encouraged since our inaugural season.”
Josh McCrone has been with the Wolfpack since 2018 after he made the journey from the East Coast of Australia to the East Coast of North America. He began his career in 2009 with the Canberra Raiders in the NRL before crossing to St George Illawarra in 2016.
His resume contains over 200 professional fixtures spanning an 11-year career to date, with perhaps the most memorable being the 2019 Championship Grand Final against Featherstone Rovers at Lamport Stadium. Scoring in not just that game but also the Semi-Final a fortnight earlier, McCrone led from the front as he guided the Wolfpack into the top-flight Super League, an achievement that realised the Club’s foundation goal.
Both Canadian and UK small businesses can join the Co-Sponsor the Captain initiative, which is priced at $435 or £250.
