Player info
One of a slew of big names to join the Wolfpack ahead of the 2019 Season, Gadwin Springer is an explosive front-rower with plenty of Super League experience. The French international is a powerful presence on-field and is renowned for never taking a backwards step once the whistle is blown.
Still just 26 years of age, Springer is coming into his prime as an athlete and his return to Super League is sure to feature fireworks as he looks to establish himself on one of the biggest stages in Rugby League.
Hailing from French Guiana, Springer had a strong impact on the Wolfpack from day one. The towering prop has played on both the world stage and has invaluable Super League experience with Catalans Dragons and Castleford Tigers that instantly translated to a leading role in the Wolfpack structure.
Appearing in 18 fixtures for the Wolfpack in 2019, including the critical Semi-Final and Playoff Final that opened the path to Super League, Springer has been ever-present for the world’s first professional transatlantic sporting team in his first season with the Club.
Resolute in defence and imposing in attack, Springer brings plenty to the table on match day and is a positive influence in the locker room, a combination that has endeared him to the squad and assured his place on the list for 2020.
Closing in on 100 appearances across a seven-year career, Springer is just 26 years of age and is set to realize his full potential in his return to Super League Rugby. Clearly forming a strong part of Head Coach Brian McDermott’s plans, Springer will be working exceptionally hard in the lead-up to the 2020 Season as he looks to make a significant impact during the Wolfpack’s debut season in the top division.
