Now in his third season with the Wolfpack, ‘Gaz’ O’Brien plays at fullback for the Wolfpack and capped off a remarkable 2019 Season by being named the Championship Player of Year. 2020 is O’Brien’s 10th year at the professional level, a career that has tallied over 200 games.
O’Brien is the Wolfpack’s first choice goal kicker and across the 2019 Championship he collected over a quarter of the Club’s total points. With plenty of experience at the Super League level, O’Brien’s value to the Wolfpack only continues to grow.
The 28-year old product of Warrington in England came to the Wolfpack in March of 2018 and has not taken a backward step since. Regularly hitting the scoreboard, O’Brien has been a model of consistency for Toronto while never failing to bring others into the game at the same time.
Reaching the 200-game milestone during the 2019 Season, O’Brien debuted in 2011 with Warrington Wolves and has also spent time with Widnes Vikings and St Helens before finding a home in Salford with the Red Devils in 2016. He has made no secret of his love for the Wolfpack’s journey and this, in conjunction with his on-field exploits, has seen him become a fan favourite in Toronto.
