Josh McCrone Re-Signs With The Wolfpack
Josh McCrone, Toronto Wolfpack captain and veteran of over 200 career games, will make his Super League debut in 2020 after signing a one year extension with the Club. With over 150 games experience in the Australian top-flight NRL with Canberra Raiders and St George Illawarra, 2020 signals a new challenge for McCrone, one that his is certain to take in his stride.
Taking his Club tally past 50 appearances, McCrone missed just one game for the Wolfpack in 2019 on his way to registering ten tries and contributing from the kicking tee. The mercurial half-back crossed the line in both the Semi-Final and Grand Final, further proof of the skipper’s ability to impact the most important contests.
The determined Australian does a lot of work that often goes unheralded but is the kind of player that always stands up when it is required and this has endeared him to Wolfpack fans across his two seasons with the side. The entire team walks taller when McCrone stands beside them and his leadership will be crucial during the Wolfpack’s maiden Super League campaign.
A strong kicking game and fearless approach to defence make him a strong performer each week and one that is rarely, if ever, left out of the starting line-up. With a strong passion to play in the biggest fixtures, he will be as determined as ever to make the 2020 Season, his third with the Wolfpack, his best.
