Liam Kay is in his second season with the Wolfpack after signing for Toronto ahead of the 2017 season in a switch from Championship rivals Leigh Centurions. Originally a Wakefield Trinity academy graduate, Kay has been a natural try scorer wherever he has played, scoring an incredible 74 tries in 78 appearances for Leigh across three seasons.
The League 1 campaign for the Wolfpack saw Kay continue his try scoring exploits, wreaking havoc on the left edge on both sides of the Atlantic, finishing the year as the club’s top try scorer with 26 amongst stiff competition from many of the club’s other outside backs.
Having helped the Wolfpack secure automatic promotion to the Championship, Kay made his international debut for Ireland in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup in Australia; playing in all three of the Wolfhounds games, scoring three tries, and is looking to take his game to the next level in 2018.
Kay was the first player Head Coach Paul Rowley signed at the club, leading the way for what has been a steady stream of big signings for the Wolfpack to date. His long flowing locks have become a mainstay on the left edge for Toronto fans, all of whom are sparked into genuine excitement whenever he touches the ball.
