92. Jake Crabbs

When he graduated from college in 2009, Jake Crabbs was asked what his dream was. He replied by saying he wanted to bring Rugby League to the United States. At the time, Jake really thought this was just a dream, but since the rise of the Wolfpack as North America’s first transatlantic professional sports team, his dream looks a lot more realistic. His favourite member of the Pack is Ashton Sims.

93. Mamoud Bangura

Mamoud Bangura is a teammate of fellow Toronto Wolfpack Global Ambassador Hassan Conteh and they play together on the Sierra Leone national team. He first discovered Rugby when he stumbled across a group of men playing the game on the beach and he asked the coach if he could join in. Now, he plays at a high level for his country. His favourite member of the Pack is Liam Kay. “I am very happy to join the Global Ambassadors Programme for the Wolfpack.”

Kel Clark has been playing Rugby for nearly 50 years. He particularly enjoys the inclusive nature of Rugby League and, with no club to support in his town of Lauder, Scotland, has adopted the Wolfpack as his favourite team. He first heard about the Wolfpack on a trip to Calgary last year, and he had every faith the project would be a success. Kel’s favourite member of the Pack is Ashton Sims.

95. Thom Wælput

At the age of 5, Thom Wælput’s family left Canada for the Netherlands. He made friends with someone who has an English father and it was because of that friendship that Thom first discovered Rugby League. He’s now a passionate Wolfpack fan and cannot wait to be part of the team’s Global Ambassadors Programme. Thom’s favourite member of the Pack is Gareth O’Brien. “Promoting a sport that has a Canadian touch to it is what I strive for as a fan of the sport as well as my heritage.”

Jenna Chapson had never heard of Rugby League prior to her husband telling her about Toronto Wolfpack just a couple of years ago. She then attended her first game and was hooked instantly. Jenna was particularly impressed with the level of sportsmanship and the amount of strategy involved. Her favourite member of the Pack is Gareth O’Brien. “I’m really excited about this opportunity to share my passion for the Wolfpack with the community and continue to watch the team excel.”
97. Benjamin Cueni

As Secretary to the Dutch Rugby League Bond (NRLB), Benjamin Cueni has a lot of responsibility. He moved to Amsterdam from Switzerland three years ago. Benjamin first came across Rugby League while playing Union, when one of his friends introduced him to the local League team, Amsterdam Cobras. Now he’s a huge fan of the sport and the Wolfpack. Benjamin’s favourite member of the Pack is Darcy Lussick. “If we ever want to step out of Rugby Union’s shadow, then we have to expand our game outside our save havens. Whether that is Toronto, New York or Belgrade, I am all up for it!”
98. Lazar Karalic

Having started playing Rugby League aged 13, Lazar Karalic has made great strides in the last 6 years. Now 19-years-old, he is a key player for the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Rugby League team. Lazar has followed the Wolfpack from the very beginning and is delighted to see Rugby is growing in North America. His favourite member of the Pack is Chase Stanley. “This really can help to develop Rugby League in Banja Luka and generally Bosnia and Herzegovina and promote Toronto team.”
99. Lewis Kemp

Lewis Kemp lives and breathes Rugby League. His father was an ameateur for Great Britain so he grew up in a household obsessed with the sport. Lewis is even a former teammate of Toronto Wolfpack superstar Ryan Brierley’s brother. His favourite member of the Pack is Ashton Sims. “It is an honour to be a member of the Wolfpack and I am absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to grow and represent the brand.”

Steve Marsden emigrated to the USA around 12 years ago. He was previously a season ticket holder at Wigan Warriors and, by his own admission, he is obsessed with the sport of Rugby League. Steve regularly makes the trip from Charleston, West Virginia to Lamport Stadium in Toronto to watch Wolfpack games. His favourite member of the Pack is Liam Kay. “Promoting the Wolfpack means promoting the sport of Rugby League in North America and can only be a win-win for everybody.”

Jen Gordon’s love for Rugby comes from the energy and thrill it gives her. She always felt at home on the pitch, regularly playing as a number 8 for her school and regional teams. Jen is excited to be able to help grow the Wolfpack brand in Scotland, where she now lives. Her favourite member of the Pack is Adam Sidlow. “Being a Global Ambassador allows me to have a piece of Canada in the UK! The Wolfpack unites the two countries for me as an expat.”

Tim Herd was first exposed to Rugby  in high school. His coaches would regularly play at lunch time and he developed a keen interest. Tim watches Wolfpack highlights on YouTube and he can’t get enough of the team. He has been mightily impressed with with the Wolfpack’s pace and ability to dominate sides. His favourite member of the Pack is Rich Whiting. “I’m excited that the Wolfpack has accepted me into ‘The Den’, now it’s time to help defend it.”

12 years ago Jonny Strømsvåg  went backpacking around Australia and discovered the sport of Rugby League. He immediately fell in love with the game. Jonny started playing 3 years ago and has since lost almost 30 KG. He believes the sport of Rugby has made him a better man. Jonny’s favourite member of the Pack is Ashton Sims. “Toronto Wolfpack is history in the making as the first transatlantic team. Being part of that history as a Global Ambassador makes my rugby heart and soul very proud.”

A passionate Rugby fan, Joel Papi plays for Entebbe Mongers Rugby Club in Uganda. He is 23-years-old and is very excited to be representing the Wolfpack in his country.
