Our latest team of Global Ambassadors is a fantastic representation of Toronto Wolfpack’s reach worldwide. Named after Wolfpack stand-off Blake Wallace, the team includes individuals located in Chile, Greece, Japan, Canada, England, Australia, Fiji, Ecuador and Brazil. 66. Cristian Alveal

A professor of physical education, sports, health and recreation in Los Ángeles, Chile, Cristian Alveal is a passionate supporter of Rugby League. He formed CLUB LONGKOS FOOTBALL XIII, a team for high school students in the area, and is a huge fan of Toronto Wolfpack. His favourite member of the Pack is Liam Kay. “For me to be an Ambassador, it means helping my kids to progress in the Rugby League and that this help them be great people in their life.”

An Australian with a lifelong passion for Rugby League, Stuart McLennan has played, coached, watched and written about the game he loves. He’s currently based in Athens, Greece where he works as a freelance writer. Stuart also coaches a club that competes in the domestic Rugby League competition there. His favourite member of the Pack is Quinn Ngawati. “Since coming to Greece in 2016 I have become increasingly passionate about international  rugby league development and spreading the word as far and wide as possible.”

A Canadian living in Japan, Steve Smith was first exposed to Rugby with the Oshawa Vikings. He went on to play for Mount Allison University and, after graduating, he moved to Manchester in the UK, where he got his first glimpse of Rugby League. Steve then moved to Japan and started playing for Nagoya Barbarians. His favourite member of the Pack is Quinn Ngawati. “Being a Global Ambassador gives me bragging rights to talk about League rugby in Canada and with others in Japan.”
69. Emmy Szekeres Milne

Emmy Szekeres Milne has always been a lover of live sport. It was only last year, though, that she first became interested in Rugby with the arrival of the Wolfpack on the scene. Now, she plans her weekends around the games and enjoys the friendly camaraderie of the fans. Her favourite member of the Pack is Ryan Brierley. “The Toronto Wolfpack are the complete package: top notch players with a winning attitude who make fans feel like family.”

Thomas Carvell found an interest in Rugby through playing on teams at high school and then college. Although he unofficially retired from the game after leaving school, he remains an avid fan. Thomas is particularly impressed with the Wolfpack’s community work and he can’t wait to get started as a Global Ambassador. His favourite members of the Pack are Ashton Sims and Liam Kay.

Hand-picked by Blake Wallace himself to become a Global Ambassador, Dylan Noronha started playing Rugby League at just 5 years old at Mighty Dapto Canaries, the same club as Wallace. He was first introduced to the Wolfpack by Blake himself, when the stand-off called Dylan to let him know he would be moving to Toronto. It’s no surprise that Wallace is Dylan’s favourite member of the Pack. “Anything I can do to help Blake’s career progress I’m down for, especially helping to spread the Wolfpack brand.”

Based within walking distance of the famous ANZ Stadium in Sydney, Jeff Card is massive Rugby fan. He regularly wakes up in the early hours of the morning to catch games being played all over the world on TV. He takes great joy in promoting the sport through any possible avenue. Jeff’s favourite member of the Pack is Josh McCrone. “Toronto Wolfpack are doing an outstanding job both on and off the field in growing the game and it is an absolute honour to help play a part in this.”

David Patrick Green has a long-standing history of playing and watching all forms of rugby. He played for the University of Guelph and was named an Ontario University All Star. While getting his MBA at the University of Southern California, David organized a friendly match with UCLA. Interestingly, David is a professional actor with over 35 credits on IMDB. He doesn’t have a favourite member of the Pack, insisting he enjoys watching the team as a whole.

Jone Wesele first played Rugby League in 2000, when there were only four teams playing the sport in Fiji. Now they have over 40 teams locally and thousands of followers across the world with Jone currently acting as Fiji National Rugby League Development Officer. His favourite member of the Pack is Ashton Sims.

75. Ecuador Rugby XIII

Another team entry to our Global Ambassadors Programme, Ecuador Rugby XIII are big fans of Toronto Wolfpack and are excited to be part of the scheme. They are the Ecuador national Rugby League team and competed in their first game at the Latino Sevens in October 2015. Collectively, they have selected Josh McCrone as their favourite member of the Pack.

While on a business trip to South America, Evandro Souza first experienced the great game of Rugby League. He became addicted. Then, just two years ago, Evandro was with a friend in Toronto and first heard about the Wolfpack. He found the idea of a Canadian team competing in a league all the way across the Atlantic fascinating. His favourite member of the Pack is Liam Kay.

A friend of Toronto Wolfpack star Blake Wallace, Michael Princic was also hand-picked by the stand-off for his team. He first found an interest in Rugby League when, aged 12, he broke his leg playing soccer and decided to try a different sport. Mike is excited by the Wolfpack project and their ability to attract big-name players. His favourite member of the Pack is Blake Wallace. “It’s amazing to be a Global Ambassador for such a great club on the rise. Also it’s an honor and a privilege support my best mate Blake.”

Having first played Rugby League in 2013, Aris Aroustos had the opportunity to meet and train with Braith Anasta when he visited Hungary with the Greek national team. Aris has been mightily impressed with the Wolfpack’s rise through the RFL and is delighted to be named a Global Ambassador. His favourite member of the Pack is Ryan Brierley.
