Toronto Wolfpack Re-Sign Jefferson to a Lifetime Contract
Beginning with the momentous signing of dual-code international Sonny Bill Williams and continuing with the news of several key player re-signings, there has been no end of positive stories from the Wolfpack in recent weeks.
Today, however, the Club announces what may just be the most important re-signing of all. It is with great pleasure that, in conjunction with his management, the Wolfpack can confirm their mascot, the beloved Jefferson, has agreed to a lifetime deal with the transatlantic team.
While full details of the agreement have not been released, it is now clear that Jefferson will remain a one-Club mascot, spending his entire career with the Wolfpack; a journey that began in 2018. During his tenure he has become one of the most celebrated mascots on both sides of the Atlantic and this unique deal puts to bed any rumours of offers for Jefferson to run with a different pack in the future.
Toronto Wolfpack Game Day Director, Elliott Devine, commented on the ground-breaking deal:
“Jefferson is a part of the fabric of our Club and to have him commit long-term to the Wolfpack is a dream come true. In the end, we weren’t too concerned about any other offers given that, as a wolf, he was limited in his options but with this deal done we can now focus on the 2020 Season and continuing to deliver our much-loved game day entertainment schedules.”
Jefferson was approached for comment but declined to elaborate on the news, instead choosing to remain silent and let his infectious energy speak for itself.
