Wolfpack Injury Update | February 21, 2020

Gadwin Springer has unfortunately fallen short in his bid to reclaim his spot on-field after a nasty head knock late in last Thursday’s fixture at Wigan. The French international has failed his concussion ‘return to play’ protocol and so must spend an additional week on the sidelines. Springer is expected to return against St Helens in round five.

Darcy Lussick, who has not yet featured for the Wolfpack in 2020, is making good progress in his recovery from a hernia operation and McDermott is confident of having his enforcer back within a month.

Chase Stanley is currently still in Australia due to via issues but the Wolfpack expect that to be resolved within the next week.

Jon Wilkin underwent minor surgery on the knee concern that saw him miss the Club’s clash with Wigan. Likely to return to the field within a month, the absence is a blow to Toronto as they look to find consistency in their squad while searching for their breakthrough Super League victory. (UPDATE: Will play against Wolves)

Greg Worthington has been called to the side from his loan to Featherstone Rovers and will lineup for Toronto against Warrington.

Tony Gigot, signed to a four week trial with Toronto during the week, will also play against Warrington as he looks to make an impression in his short time with the Club.
